Apologies, I'm a jewelry 🤓. I love sharing information about the different styles and the evolution of the jewelry industry. • Textured Gold : Crinkled, hammered, and even gritty textured gold tones were the rage. • Plastic, Resin, Bakelite, Catalin, Perspex, PVC, Leather: Big dangling earrings in geometric shapes, stacks of thick or skinny bangles, colorful flower necklaces, and plastic character pins were all-new for the space age youth. • Bold Colors: Black & White, Yellow, Green, Pink, Red, and Blue. It was all about being vibrant. • Geometric Shapes: Square, circles, diamonds, spirals, and hexagons were all featured in these new jewelry styles. • Statement Earrings: Long dangling, large rhinestones, plastic shapes in multiple patterns and colors. • Cocktail Rings: Bigger than the last decade. The rings were evolving based on pop culture and the hippie movement as well as Middle Eastern and Native American influence. • Bangles: Oversized bangles in vibrant color combinations. Chunky plasic and resin bangles were the perfect 1960s accessory. They could be worn in one chunky bangle or in several slimmer ones that cascaded all the way up the arm. Mass production made jewelry affordable for the masses. It revolutionized the industry and made jewelry styles fun and playful. Even though they were inexpensive to make, these beautiful treasures are still seen all over Poshmark and the internet. They were made to last, and we get to enjoy these treasures
