Century by Salem Victorian Godey Lady's Pattern Plate/Charger

This is a single 10.75” dinner plates or charger made by Salem China Co. in the Century Pattern. It is from the 1940s or 1950s. The designs are taken from Godey’s Lady’s Magazine that was published from 1830 to 1878. It was famous for the hand-colored fashion illustration that appeared in each issue. The plate is decorated with 23 karat gold paint. Please note: as indicated in the picture, there is a very small chip on the rim. Other than that, this piece is in great vintage condition.
