This stone is from my personal collection. The seal has not been broken since the certification. Its oval and color is purple with hues of pink in natural lighting, but under UV shows a deep red..meaning its real. This gem is from Africa. Its also untreated.😍♥😉😀sold as is..

Is there a reason the certificate of authentication says Beryl and not Chrysoberyl? Alexandrite is a Chrysoberyl.

@jadeholmes00 also on the daylight it can’t be purple.

@jadeholmes00 not all Alexandria's are made with the same mineral iitt depends on the origin of where its from
gaiaearth
@nuriyabulatova it can be purple, dont comment on my feed if u dont know the history of the stones

@jadeholmes00 those are the two species they found when discovering the stone, it just so happens its only one species and not the other. GIA is a well known institute. the pics are kinda off from the camera thats why i described the colors of ot to so not to be comfused..
jadeholmes00
@gaiaearth yes I am well aware of GIA not so much GIE who graded this stone. Also Beryl and Chrysoberyl are two completely different species. The verity of the species of Beryl include gemstones like emerald, aquamarine, & morganite. Chrysoberyl includes alexandrite.
gaiaearth
@jadeholmes00 you are correct but the alexandrite also comes in benzoyl species as well it depends on the origin it was found in. this origin was found in Africa which are not common hence the different color hues. the lighting is dark but i also used UV lighting to show that its material is real and not man made. i can take it outside for better pics if that helps.

@jadeholmes00 also, i do have other alexandrites listed that are not from Africa but russian federation which are more expensive and less carats. but the colors are green and red which is what the expensive ones should be cause their more rare..
