Now I can’t get home until I feel up to a 4-hour car ride. 😩

@nurseshawna1 I had knee replacement surgery. My husband is with me, thank goodness!!
We are now planning to leave Saturday.

@erica44barnes that is truly one of the most painful recoveries. Take your time, make sure that you do physical therapy, listen to your own body, do not let the physical therapist push you past your own threshold, take your medication till you do not need it anymore. Get lots of rest to recover it’s very important. Nutrition is vital in your recovery.
Staying stress free, staying mobile, moving that leg, getting up as much as possible so it will not lock up.

I know I’m not moving it enough….but because it hurts so bad!! The doc’s office already wants me to cut way back on pain meds. I have tramadol, which does not work for me, and oxycodone.
I take oxycodone 1 every 4 hours. I was taking 2 but they threw a fit. I’m supposed to be doing physical therapy exercises on my app.
I’m not a very good patient.

@erica44barnes your surgery is much more detailed so it’s going to take more time and the people around you will need to be patient and understanding. It’s a knee replacement surgery, not a knee surgery. This is a major major surgery. Praying for your complete healing and recovery, may the lord comfort you, give you both peace, continued strength, blessings, grace, mercy, abundance of support, love, rest, and His protection in His mighty name we pray Amen 🙏

@erica44barnes I do know that no matter what, I learned that I needed to take my tramadol first then wait about 15 minutes then do my physical therapy exercises so I wouldn’t be in so much excruciating pain. I had to learn on my own, the nurses weren’t giving me any advice lol. We aren’t super humans either, they can’t expect us to jump up right after a major surgery and go back to normal, you are trying your best ok and I’m proud of you Erica. You can do this!

@erica44barnes I also had back surgery, so I empathize with you, I learned to wait 15 minutes after taking my medication then I did my physical therapy exercises. Please let me know if you need help or have questions, because the nurses didn’t help me.

Hubby cannot drive at night, I can’t drive at all for a long while, so we are dashing every night, 😂
We’ve had some great food, though. Luna Cafe last night; De Vivo Brothers Italian tonight.
