This cadillac lotion for chanel lambskin, i use this for darker bag such as black, chocolate ... I don't recommend it for light color bag such as white, pink ... I used it one in my white lambskin bag, turned out a bit dust on it. I am still not sure it's because of aged leather or the lotion. for polishing the bag, you can you black metonian for black or neutral. This is process: lotion then polish. Bag looks great after that!

blounts508 @chanel102 Hi there! I am hoping to get some information from anyone that has vintage Chanel bags. I recently purchased a black on that is identical to the beige tote you have. The only problem is the metal is discolored. Do you know of a way to fix that or know of a shop that does repairs for Chanel bags?

chanel102 @blounts508 Susan, first of all, fading is very normal. Pls don't worry. Since chanel gold hw is not solid one so please dont expect high. I would try some gold polish cloth (you can find them on amazon). When you use it, you should place some paper underneath to protect leather. I hope it works. If it is really bad you might have to replace it.

blounts508 @chanel102 I ended up finding someone that actually repairs vintage handbags and has worked on Chanel bags. I sent it off to her to look at and let me know what she can do to clean it up and bring it back to life :-) thanks for the help!
