Chanel vintage tweed blazer from 2000. This tweed blazer is from one of Chanel’s most mysterious collections, Cruise 2000. Don’t bother, you won’t find any runway images or coverage online. This was one of Karl Lagerfeld’s first effort to establish Chanel Cruise, as a new collection for the French luxury juggernaut. As such, documentation was strictly limited, with only those in attendance getting to witness the magic unfolding. Evidently, Lagerfeld’s efforts paid off. The collection was a huge success (apparently), and Chanel’s Cruise runway shows went on become a major player on the global fashion calendar. History aside, I particularly love the double lapels, interior chainlink details, metal buttons etched with the Chanel Loga, but most of all this super chic hue of mint-y turquoise woven from a wool blend. Size on label: FR 38, approximately an M. Measurement estimates. Bust 34.5” Waist 30” Length 20.5” In very good vintage condition. No tears, flaws ppl or damages. Some discoloration on the interior as expected from a vintage piece from this era.
