I have so much more time now and am gonna start kicking ass on dough buddies. I went wacko one weekend and bought a bunch of Rae Dunn stuff to use with dough buddies. I got cups, mugs, picture frames, Rae Dunn ornaments, canisters, vases, ring holders, plates, dog treat containers, omg... you name it!!

ashleys_locker3 Holy crap!! I wrote too much & had to delete half my convo!! Anyhoo..so... One day I bought a 5# bag of sour gummies. The inside of my mouth got so raw from the sourness, I couldn’t eat anything cold!! I definitely can’t eat fudgsicles. It hurts my cheeks 🥺 and I haven’t had an ice cream sandwich in at least a week ☹️ that’s probably why I’ve been so grumpy 😜😂🤣

It’s a 4 bedroom and it’s just my husband and myself so when we moved in here 16 years ago, we re-did the middle floor... we have a basement, middle and upstairs rooms but our master bedroom with attached master bath is on middle level, cont....

loridgiam @sonyg74 we also re-did our bathroom, we put all new Brazilian hardwood floors, new appliances, granite counter top, new mud room floor and bathroom lol... yea we did a lot of work to it. I know it will sell exactly when God has our temporary housing lined up for us in Wyoming! I have complete faith. I’ll keep ya posted on things and you have yourself an amazing week ahead 🤩

Always had to clean before every showing, too. It was a lot of work picking up after 3 young kids before every one. I was always cleaning the damn place!! 🤪

Hid you know the name of the town you’re moving to? I lived in Wyoming most of my life so I know it pretty well. My brother & sister-in-law live there so I can ask them stuff if you want to know anything 😁

ashleys_locker3 @loridgiam 🙋‍♀️ Lori ... the winters in Wyoming there usually aren’t that horrible. Michigan winters are a ton worse! One New Year’s Day in Casper, Chris was outside in shorts painting our old van. It doesn’t get near as frigid cold as Michigan does. You don’t need a snowmobile to be able to get around 😂🤣 they have real roads and highways there 😂🤣 And... don’t forget ... we love to eat buzzard for Thanksgiving!! 😂😂🤣🦥🦦

loridgiam @ashleys_locker3 eewww with the buzzard!! Lol yea I heard it doesn’t always snow a ton but even if it snows 6-12” I’m good with that! We only get like 2-6” here in Jersey and it doesn’t last long. My husband bought a snow blower the 1st year we moved here and I can count on one hand the amount of times he used it! And yes, I have heard they have real roads but I’d still love to hop on a snow mobile and do all the fun things winter has to offer... I love to ice skate too!

loridgiam @ashleys_locker3 Girl forget Michigan, I don’t know how you do it!! I mean I love the cold and all but WOW ... Michigan cold, I’m not so sure I’d like it. Is it humid there too? See I can’t do humidity, I need a cold/cool DRY climate, my body feels much better in the colder months, as soon as summer hits here with the high humidity, forget about it!!

loridgiam @sonnistephens Wow girl that’s quick.. the homes here in NJ were selling fast but I think we put it on the market just a bit too late… 🤷🏻‍♀️ but what I do know is I’m not worried because I know God is setting things up for us in Wyoming so perhaps the property we’ll rent or buy isn’t ready yet… it’s all in his timing…. but wow 5 days lol, that would’ve been awesome!

If I wanted to sell I couldn't afford a rental - the chorale at 1 bedroom in my city is 1400 - this is why the kids are here so they can save money and hopefully buy their own house one day

aptooms I understand the house thing. We are in a 1929 bungalow and we have literally redone every room in this house and RIGHT NOW one of them has a giant hole that any critter can come in. (They did leave the door, although that’s going too). We have 2 original rooms, guest bed and living room! Now this is over 20 years! I guess we practically rebuilt it! Still to the historic code though, they are snippy! Lol! So think of me this evening, a squirrel could be in my room! 🐹🐰🦉🐒🦄🦓!!!!!!

chmakuch Thank you Sonya. Better late than never😉 Haven’t sold anything recently. I do have a buyer but it won’t be fully accepted until she inputs her method of payment. Boy! Can I find em! Hope she adds her credit card so I can get it in the mail to her. Getting lots of but that’s as far as it goes. Some items I can’t afford to mark down because they are so low already. Is there a way to send private likers a discount without including shipping ? That’s what I can’t handle on very low priced items.

sonyg74 @chmakuch As far as pricing, I prefer to price higher to allow extra room for discounts and reduced shipping offers. And you can avoid the shipping discount requirement by adding items to a bundle and sending private offers to likers that way.😊 Best of luck with your sales - hope that helps! I try pricing a little higher but I probably didn’t on a few items. I have not responded to likers on very low priced items because I don’t want to discount them. Not worth settling for less than $5. chmakuch I have followed so many blue boxes I’m seeing them in my sleep. It’s interesting to see how some posh ambassadors filler through with sharing. Some very nice and considerate and shared equally and some either don’t respond or only by one share to my 7 or 10 shares I have done for them. No bother, I’m getting my sharing numbers. That’s what is important. It is really nice of Lori to introducing me to sure nice friends of hers. You guys are the best.

I think we’re in a bit of a lull here, so many Jersey people head to the “Jersey shore” in July & August and many people from Pennsylvania as well. I know it will sell exactly when it’s supposed to. My closet has been pretty steady, just sold my Michele watch which I haven’t worn in quite some time so that was nice.

chmakuch @loridgiam It would be a ***** trying to sleep 😴 on the floor. Realtor is right. Best to have home furnished. Many buyers can’t picture furniture in a room unless it’s already there. When I was looking for a home I would stand in the doorway of the room and picture my things in it. I knew immediately if the room was too small or just wouldn’t work. I physically looked at over 1,000 🏡 homes. Not too picky am I.

nina7co @chmakuch Hey there! It’s a lot harder to figure out Poshmark than you’d think! And more time consuming! But figuring out the pricing, discounts, amount of daily shares, time you want to spend on PM each day, etc etc gets easier after a few months. And be sure to take extended breaks regularly! So important! I took a whole month off of PM in 2020 and I took 2 weeks off last month so I wouldn’t burn out.

chmakuch @loridgiam Haha oops! I was so excited I didn’t think about it. I will remember to add a name. Now I get the pleasure of removing lots of boxes to get to the two I need. I assign a number to the item then box it. Makes it faster when it sells. I get pretty up the wrapping and add my thank you card then give it to hubby (gotta keep him busy) to drop it off at the post office. It’s not far from and quicker than a pickup.

sonyg74 @chmakuch Like you, my take on lower priced items (<$5) is that it isn't worth it to sell in most cases (unless you do MASSIVE volume). I had to learn that it takes the same effort to wrap up and ship a $5 item as it does a $50 item. So, I ask, how much is your time worth to you? I like to be paid more, not less, so I price high and send large discount offers to help sell. Some things sit, but that's the nature of reselling anyways. So, might as well make decent money when you do sell!💸💰💕😊

sonyg74 @chmakuch So, some thoughts. I think you've done most of what you can with what's in your closet so far. A couple of ideas with the existing listings would be to group items by color (regardless of item), which means sharing you have to share items in that order. You can also look for stock photos and use those as your cover photos for each listing.💜

sonyg74 @chmakuch I notice that only some of your items have been shared within the last couple of hours. So, you may want to share more often to get more eyes on your items. Best thing to do is to share your own closet as often as possible to get exposure. I also recommend to share at the Best in Bags Posh Party and Best in Dresses and Skirts Posh Party, since that is a majority of your closet. That will get your items exposed to like-minded buyers looking for those items.

Might your family members have items that they could let you sell to vary up your closet? Or, if not, have you considered thrifting to bring in different inventory? It might be worth it to get buyers with interest in different brands to get different potential buyers eyes on your closet.👀💙

We still have to get through a few more inspections, we just had the well water inspector here yesterday, everything seems A-ok with that, I think the home inspection is this Saturday, that’s the big one, my husband is stressing, had to give him melatonin to help him sleep 🤦🏻‍♀️. If this helps, don’t try to return every single share, you’ll go nuts! I share back when someone shares like 5 or more items, if they only drop in and share 1 item, I’m not sharing back but that’s me. Hope this helps! 😬🥳

sonyg74 @loridgiam @chmakuch Hey Christine - To add to Lori's reply, the only other thing you can do to see where you left off with shares is to go to your closet and click on your number of shares. That will show you your last shared items. You may still have to find your place back in your feed to get to the closet you want to share back, but at least you know where you left off. You can also screenshot it on your phone or PC if you need to. Hope that helps!💜 Happy Sharing!💞

Both realtors were here and the buyers but only the wife came in, I’m guessing they’re in their late 30’s, they have 3 small kids (so well behaved-she home schools them and it shows) oh and they have a 6 month old German Shepard!

I’m going to try Sonya’s suggestion. I have been trying to the time I stop sharing and when I go back into shares I count back the hours to where I left off. It is helping although in all cases some are fortunate to get extra shares because I overlapped.

If I had to focus on what is going to get you sales, then I would say focus on listing new items and sharing your own items. Sharing everyone else's is a nice thing to do and I know people appreciate it, but it typically doesn't get you closer to your sales objective (if that is your objective, of course)😊🛍

sonyg74 @chmakuch I would only look to share other's closets once a day, and do that only after you've done those items for yourself as often as possible. With your closet starting out, I would say to share as many times a day (once every other hour, if you can?), and list/relist as much as you have. That us what keeps you high-up in the Poshmark algorithm, and ensures you have as many eyes on your items as you can.👀❤

I separate the handbag later. If your changing planes, leave handbag secured in other bag. I believe you can check two bags weighing no more than 50 lbs. Better check first in case rules have changed.

Also, did you ever enroll in the pre-check program to avoid standing in security lines? I told my husband we’re making the appointment and we’re going to one of the centers.. I think they do a background check - I’ll do anything to avoid standing in a long security line 😬

chmakuch @loridgiam I did when it first started thenI renewed my driver’s license awhile ago & did it again for easy travel. Mailed in 2weeks.Attach something to 🧳 that stands out but will not get caught in the luggage belt. You need to quickly be able to identify your luggage. I almost had one taken because theirs was same but shaped different. Haha little me walked up to this big man & said this is mine. Then took it. Haha he just there and looked at me. New York airport.

chmakuch @loridgiam sometimes tsa are really nice and let you go through their security line anyway. Especially if it is really quiet in there and they want something to do. I asked them a question once and she said to come through her line. I walked right through. No luggage check , nothing. Never hit the conveyor belt. Just checked my ticket.

chmakuch @loridgiam wish I had better up-to-date info for you. Hope you have a big enough u-haul. If you are taking furniture with drawers you can leave the items in them for travel. Just lead the drawers after the furniture is in truck. Not so heavy that way.. Pillows and blankets in plastic then used for extra padding so things are not damaged. Oh goodness I’m on a roll. Better save anything else for when I talk to you.

The worst they can say is that you're out the money, but I somehow doubt they will leave you as an unsatisfied customer. Maybe the seller will offer to send a replacement? Wyoming is beautiful but it’s huge and you either live on the mountains or nearby or you live in town which is very touristy from April-September. We really didn’t want a place in town. The house where we are currently is a million dollar home (we’re renting the studio upstairs) it’s really nice but not meant for long term rentals

We’ll be staying with my best friend which was so kind of her and her husband… until we find a townhouse or something in Jersey- we haven’t stopped since May!! I’m pooped 🙄 Miss ya! 💜😘

loridgiam @chmakuch Yes thank God we are in our new home, it’s a lot smaller than our other home which has pros and cons lol… less to clean is definitely a pro but I do miss my old town. I’m sure I’ll eventually get used to it here, the neighbors are all very nice. My posh closet was humming there for a while but it’s slowed down, I’m praying it picks up soon!
