Heats up to 410 degrees but it’s also adjustable. Blinking just means it’s on. Works like new. Probably only a year or so old. The only reason I’m selling is because my hair has gotten long and too thick for a 1 inch. Lol I need like a 2-3 inch straightener. This is good for short and medium lengths. Makes hair pin straight but you can also probably use it to curl. Has a decent sized swivel cord
