@jensblackhorse It is the measurement across the chest area from armpit to armpit (underarms) with the garment laying flat.

The pit to pit measurement is 18" across the back of the jacket, the pockets are 7" deep and functional but have never been used, stitching still intact, adding a close-up photo of the front pocket
