Lovely little book by Hugh Lofting, author of the original Doctor Dolittle Books. This story was originally published in 1923 to popular success. The simple text is illustrated by Lofting's own humorous illustrations. Condition is great considering it's age and comes with the original book jacket, which shows some wear (see photo). The pages are all intact with no scribbling or tearing.
Story description from inside jacket cover:
Mrs. Tubbs was a little old woman who was one hundred years old who lived all alone with a dog, and a duck, and a pig. The dog's name was Peter Punk, the duck's name was Polly Ponk, and the pig's name was Patrick Pink. The old woman called them Punk, Ponk, and Pink for short. This is the story of how Punk, Ponk, and Pink cleverly found a way to help Mrs. Tubbs when she had no home, no place to sleep and nothing to eat.
A rare gem of a book.
