Exceptional quality Qing dynasty Chinese hardwood carvings depicting the boy on the buffalo, circa 1900 Very well finished details to the carving and surface finish. Boys and buffalos with inlaid glass eyes Notable detailed carving to the underside of the buffalo where the wood shows its un oxidised red colour, the exposed carving a nut brown. Pierced and carved darker hardwood bases expressing muddy marshy ground. Good original polished surface to the fine grained dense hardwood. Length of bases, 9,5/8" or 244mm, gross weight 1487 grams
