musecalliopeia *laughs* I am very pleased to learn that I am not the only person who wondered about the meaning of that.

gradyrobbins @musecalliopeia i know, right? it’s a slogan modeled after the English “keep calm and carry on”, it’s a website, a restaurant in Florida and apparently a charity too.

musecalliopeia @dauen2000 I really don't comprehend the whole notion of paying (often quite a lot) extra to advertise the designer/manufacturers of clothes, as in the only design/color on the garment being the designer's name or logo. Michael Kors' watches are a sterling example - they would be quite nice watches, if not for the "MK" logo that overwhelms the positive design aspects.

musecalliopeia @dauen2000 (cont'd) When I was a wee lass (and boy, am I dating myself here... ;)), the logos on clothes and accessories were quite small and unobtrusive. In fact, if you wanted to wear a particular designer's style, but couldn't afford it, you could choose to buy an item that had the equivalent of the "MK" logo on Kors' watches for, like, 1/10 of the price of the unobtrusively marked version.

musecalliopeia @gradyrobbins If I am recalling my Modern History course from uni correctly, that slogan was printed on posters during the Blitz to help remind the besieged Londoners that they were not alone and that their queen had the utmost respect for their multiple sacrifices and for them...

gradyrobbins @musecalliopeia yes that sounds correct. English stoicism, “stiff upper lip”. From the queen and also Churchill spoke of the importance of effort and persistence. Cheers to you and thanks for sharing! Lots we can learn, even from slogans on a t shirt 👍🙂
