Please clarify, is this 16” long with or without the hanging pendant? Also, is it possible to clasp it in a different place to make it shorter or longer?

@celagoddess in the picture the measurements are 8 inches from the clasp to the the end of the neck line when you open the necklace is 16 inches long from one clasp to the other.
