afton_aaf @misssoniab That is actually one of the more rare saddles out there - it was from one of the earlier collections in the late 90s and was waiting list only. Especially the pink version that Carrie has - I have never seen one of the pink ones on the second hand market since I started collecting in 2002. I’ve seen 2 maybe 3 of the blue ones in that time, but they don’t come up often. There was one on here a while ago but it sold. Good luck hunting one down - it really is a white whale 🐋

afton_aaf @misssoniab Honestly it’s mostly about getting lucky - you’re going to have to be diligent and get lucky. Also with Dior saddle prices soaring again you’re probably going to be looking at a very high price tag on that one so I’d start saving now so that when you see it you can snap it up immediately 😂 A few years ago it would have been a much easier and cheaper search but with MGC bringing the saddle bag back for this F/W the market for them has gone cray.

afton_aaf @misssoniab I also just wanted to add that you should be very cautious about fakes now that saddle bags are back - I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a big rise in fake saddles on the second hand market. If you’re not confident about authenticating them yourself then you can tag me here if you ever find one you’re not sure about.

afton_aaf @misssoniab honestly with saddle prices the way they are it’s not out of range. I would make sure you get lots of good pics and pay with 🅿️🅿️ so you have some kind of recourse if the deal goes sideways so you can open a case. That’s a good chunk of change so just make sure you vet the bag and the seller. Good luck - if you do get it please post some shots up here on Posh and tag me - I’d love to see it once you get it 😍

That one is the larger size saddle and is in perfect condition, in an uncommon pattern style. I’m pretty attached to my saddle collection and wouldn’t want to let it go for much less than market value. Thanks so much for your interest!
