Christmas classic

This special Christmas book by Washington Irving is a restoration of the original 1876 edition. This was printed in 1978. The title is “Old Christmas”. Washington Irving best known for “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” and “Rip Van Winkle” . This is a celebration of Christmas in rural England in the late 1700’s. The illustrations are by Randolph Caldecott. If you are a Charles Dickens fan, you will enjoy this work with its similarities in character and behavior. I’ve included a photo of the book cover without dust jacket. It is in perfect condition, though the outer edges are yellowed with age. And it is small and lightweight so very portable.
