savi108 Hey I just noticed some discoloration on the last photo. I understood your statement that the color may bleed is just general warning , not explicitly saying that there IS discoloration on the dress itslef. I see two color bleed spots on the flowers in the last photo. Is that it or is there more spots?

sugarinmytea @savi108 hi! This was a part of my first Christy Dawn order, but my understanding is that they use deadstock fabric and sustainable dying methods that cause variation to the color and dying in the fabric. I see that is not cohesive or preciously dyed, meaning that there is some slight bleed in some of the flowers and some parts of the red are slightly less red throughout the dress. It doesn’t look tye dyed or anything, but it’s not perfect.

sugarinmytea @savi108 I assumed it was part of the brand. I bought directly from them during the birthday sale in February and only wore it once so it wasn’t caused by not washing/drying appropriately. Photographs are very true to the condition but if variation in the dye concerns you, I would recommend cancelling the order, no harm!

savi108 @sugarinmytea I have some other block print dresses from CD and they do warn of incorrectly washed that some discoloration/ color bleeding may appear. For this particular dress on their website it says that the color may transfer during the first few washes so to hand wash in cold. Is the discoloration very noticeable? I’m not really sure what to do… I like the dress and wouldn’t mind wearing it around the house. would you be open for me canceling it and possibly selling it for maybe $90??

sugarinmytea @savi108 I think that’s fair, I’ll cancel and if you submit a new offer I’ll accept. I haven’t washed it yet, I wore it to my friends birthday brunch for 2 hours and that’s it, so I didn’t wash yet so it’s not caused by improper washing! I honestly didn’t notice it at all until I took pictures of it in the direct sunlight. It’s weird though, I even rechecked my order confirmation to see if they mentioned it when I bought it and they didn’t.
