Chugai China ~ Lilies Tea Cup

Great item for collectors, or if in need of a gift this is a wonderful choice. Stamped “Made in “Occupied” Japan on the bottom of the saucer. This was the period of 1945-1952, years in which the Allies of WWII administered Japan after the end of the war. My uncle served in the Navy during and after WWII and was stationed in Japan. This tea cup & saucer was part of his wife’s collection which was given to me after she passed.So, I am guessing that he brought this home to her. Trying to downsize and do not have space for all the little collectibles acquired over time. Overall in great condition, decorated with gold trim which has worn a bit but this just adds to the antique and vintage feel to it Floral artwork is still very good No chips I am not an expert & encourage enlarging the photos in case there is something I missed or did not mention that is important to you as a buyer.
