Claire Pettibone Mystere wedding dress

Claire Pettibone’s “Mystere” is a bold spin on classic romance, featuring a sweetheart neckline, cap sleeves, and just the right amount of sparkle. Most striking is the ornate applique at the bust and on the sheer back: lilac-mauve embellishments that make it clear vintage-inspired can still be a knock-out! Mystere was the perfect dress for my bohemian, lakeside ceremony. It had the glamour and drama I wanted, but was comfortable and easy to move in. I felt completely sure of myself, and received so many compliments! I’ve seen photos of brides rocking this gown with a sheer veil and updo, but I chose to heighten the romance by wearing my hair in soft curls over my shoulder (this also enhanced the beautiful back details). This gown is ivory tulle with crystal and pearl details, over a silk sheath dress. The seamstress left about an inch of extra seam, so it can be let out a little (see photo). The train is approximately 40 inches, and there are two discreet buttons for bustle options (loops will need to be added). The dress is missing a poufy flower pin on the back: I knew I wouldn’t care for it, and didn’t think to hang on to it for future brides. My apologies! This dress has never been out in the rain, near any cigarette smoke, or worn in weather over 65 degrees. It had been previously preserved when I bought it, and it has been professionally cleaned and preserved once more for you.
