These are a classic American pair of shoes. Made popular in the 1950s by students of the prestigious Ivy League schools, penny loafers are a staple of Ivy Style, prep, Americana, and many other sub genres of classic menswear. These are essentially the model that made the shoe popular, by the heritage brand G.H. Bass & Co. They feature a vamp that reaches about halfway across the shoe, with a beef roll detail next to the penny slot for which the shoe is named.
