Classic Vintage Dress Matching Jacket White Polka Dot on Navy

Classic example of an early mid-century dress and matching jacket. Perfect for church or the ladies luncheon. White polka dots appear on navy in a semi- sheer fabric. The dress has a 6" V front neckline leading to 3 large (3/4") white plastic buttons. The short sleeves have an exaggerated raglan style with the underarm curve almost reaching the waistline. The skirt has a nice drape with several pleats at the waistline. There is a 9" metal side zipper. The jacket is cardigan style for the front. At 16 1/2" long at the front (15" at the back), it is meant to brush the waist. It has 3/4 length sleeves at 16 1/2". The matching belt (3/4 x 38) is found with the outfit, but it is not in good shape, we would suggest a replacement. There is no maker or content label. We believe this to be a rayon or nylon blend--note that it is semi-sheer. Size: no size label. Note the following measurements are approximate and take lying flat and doubled. Dress--20" pit to pit front; 35" waist; 46" hip; 16 1/2" shoulder to waist; 43" long to 1" hem. Jacket- 20" pit to pit at front; 38 1/2" lower hem circumference.
