Cloisonné Art creates original handcrafted cloisonné jewelry that is colorful and whimsical. Cloisonné (from the French word “cloison” meaning partition) is an enamel technique that uses wire to create unique shapes and is then filled with enamel. Artist Rhonda Guilford creates her cloisonné earrings, pendants by using fine silver wire and foil that is kiln-fired onto a copper base at 1400 degrees Fahrenheit. Each piece can have up to a dozen individual firings. It’s a labor of love!
