Nope, born and raised in Ohio unfortunately... but travelled a lot in my early twenties to the east and west coasts, so have lots of friends and influences out there ☺️. I still visit CA quite a bit, with the exception of recent years, since work has ramped up dramatically. I have always wanted to visit Portland / Seattle area and never have made it up that far!

I tried doing that with my Dad, but he wouldn't allow it 😂 So I was constantly shuttling myself back and forth from Oregon to California. It was exhausting, and I developed an eating disorder in the process from the MASSIVE amount of stress (hence, all the odd sizes in my closet).

Honestly, Ca is kind of a shit show of a state, but as far as government assisted programs go they're pretty 'on it', and super helpful. It's still a major pain in the ass! But I've always been kind of shocked at how responsive the state is to people that actually need 'assistance'.

The man friend makes too much money, but not enough to add me to his insurance policy, and I'm just at the poverty level as far as income. A really shitty (at the time) part of the Bay Area. The entire state has just become entirely too gentrified and overpopulated for me. Same with Portland! I can't stand Portland, but TONS of people just think it's the greatest.

Max is about 15 pounds and I give him 1/2 a tablet once a day when he gets ichy during the summer. I'll check the mgs when I get home... they are littermates. About to be 9.... and have each had 4+ back surgeries... so I know about vet bills. :/ I knew you were my people. Lol.

hamsterjane @tifflery The doc wants to try some different antibiotics, and actually UPPED her steroids even though I freaked out about it. She seems to really think it's a yeast thing that she's nibbled on too much. I'm not really convinced... She's such a happy kid! It's so weird. She never acts annoyed or pissy about it! She just...keep nibbling all the hair off her joints.

tifflery @hamsterjane hahaha. Nah, but they're gonna be 10 this year, and that was 15 combined. Lol. Still crazy. :/ I felt like a failure till they told me that all the anesthesia they had been under (4-5 surgeries each) affects their teeth. Poor littles. They get fresh pet (refrigerated food) once a day and then all the crunchies they want the rest of the day. :) they do fine. Yeah, with all the pills they each had after surgeries and stuff, they learned all my tricks. :(

Tractors, bulldozers, backhoes, Excavators etc... and their parts, service, and rental. Ugh. Ok. The end. Yeah, we usually get a good hour + of snuggle time when I get home and before I go back outside or down to work on the house, but not this week. :( well, I think the new medicine is going to work!!!

tifflery @hamsterjane lol. No, it's not, but finding the lumps all of the sudden and the waiting for all the tests and then waiting for the results.. I was petrified for a good month. I am supposed to get rechecked every three months.. that was this summer... was supposed to go back around September? I haven't yet... I need to make the appointment. ..but ugh.....I'm scared they made a mistake or something and I've got a couple months to live.... (im not exactly a glass half full kinda person....)

hamsterjane @tifflery Doctors tend to freak me out in general. Not because I think they're bad people or anything! I've had some amazing doctors. I just always wonder. Like, if someone hadn't told my Dad that he had cancer, I'm pretty damn positive he would have enjoyed the last few months of his life a whole hell of a lot more than he did doing chemo and taking drugs that just made it worse. Sometimes...in VERY specific cases...I think it might be better not to know. I don't wanna know!

Later) just to make sure they hadn't changed... ugh. Ok. I'll call monday. Stephens mom (since my ordeal in june) got diagnosed w/ breast cancer, had a mastectomy, and started chemo. I just... ugh. Ok. I'll call. Your right. Just... Ugh.

She can't drive on the freeway, go to concerts, crowded restaurants, etc. I get it. Oh yea! We used to hate each other, but kind of had to join forces. Our mom died last year and our dad the year before that, and we don't have any other family left. This is the first time she's ever lived on her own, so I try to 'guide' her as much as I can.

So I manage the kitchen staff, create the menus, order the boatloads of produce, make sure no one cuts off a finger (which I have done), etc. I am NOT the manager manager. Screw THAT noise. I looked into disability many moons ago, and it was...beyond confusing to me. What it came down to was that the state was more willing to pay for my health insurance and medications every month than for disability? Seems like they'd get off cheaper the other way around!

The vegan version is: 1 cup nut butter (legit butter, not that 'spread' stuff with oil and sugar in it). 1 cup (or less depending on how scary sweet you want them) HEAVY granulated sugar. 1 tsp vanilla 1/4-1/2 tsp clove or allspice. 1 'eggs' worth Ener-G egg replacer (or, 1 whole egg for not vegan. Works the same).

And they spread a bit, so you just keep them about an inch apart. Bam. Done. Stupid easy. Oh, and the corse salt on top if ye like that. I use that pink Himalayan stuff, because Celtic tastes like death to me.

It's an epson expression home xp-446. 50 bucks at walmart. You do need a wifi Hotspot on your phone for it to work.. or wifi in your house (which we don't have. ) you download an app on your phone, and took about 4 minutes to set up and I had a label!

tifflery @hamsterjane well, my phone plan comes with it.. but you turn it on and it creates a Hotspot so you can use your laptop or ipad or whatever to connect to the Internet with your phone's data...I have Verizon and it comes with like 15 GB of Hotspot free a month. But, you don't have to have wifi in your house like a router and all that... but, it doesn't work with just bluetooth. You have to have wifi Hotspot feature on your phone. :/

It's only funny because he's ok. So far the worst thing that's happened to him is a broken arm, so he's been pretty lucky. He does flat track racing every year at Salem Speedway, so it's months of worrying for me 😂 I've tried it a few times. It's fun, but I never got super into it. That's so rad! Is it all year round!?

Honestly I hate my dad and karma is a punk if you're a bad person, he used to beat my mom he knocked her teeth out and permanently blinded her in one eye and when he got life flighted to the hospital I felt nothing.
