I KNEW it! (Sometimes it's hard to tell in photos.) I rescue Pekes! I absolutely adore them & have adored them since I rescued my first one 21 years ago. 😊 I have a house full of spoiled rotten Pekes just like yours, & I wouldn't have it any other way. 😀 Anyway, I love meeting other peke lovers, so I just wanted to say hello!

@chestersmom Thank you for being so kind-hearted to rescue Pekes. I love the breed personally. There is just something in them that brings joy and uplifts the spirit. We would love to have her a playmate but Pekes are quite hard to find in our area. Since we had Boohboo (her name), at 6weeks old, she already stole our hearts. I hope i can adopt or rescue one or more soon.😍😊 Thanks again for giving your precious babies a 'fur'ever home.❤😍❤

Aww, thank you! Pekes do love their belly rubs, don't they? I simply adore the breed & I wouldn't change a thing. It hasn't always been easy because a lot of mine have/had special needs, but I wouldn't change a thing. Mine range from 15 years old, all the way down to 7 months old. (Continued...)

@amm1308 My puppy has had a rough start to his life, but everything is almost straightened out for him. He was abandoned, so I've had him since he was 5 weeks old. Once we started training him, things were rough because he's literally THE most stubborn Peke I've ever known & loved, lol, and he does what he wants, WHEN he wants. 😉 (Continued)

@amm1308 Then, 2 months ago on Valentine's Day, one of my greatest fears came to light. As I'm sure you know because you own one yourself, brachycephalic dogs have such issues with their eyes, and it's so easy for their eyes to literally pop out (Proptosis). I've always known that on a long enough timeline, this would eventually happen to one of mine, and it did. (Continued)

@amm1308 Being an RN, I knew how much of an emergency it was & I had him to the DR vet in less than 5 minutes. I called ahead & they were waiting for us at the door to rush him to surgery. They were able to get it back in the socket, but then the fight to save the eye began. We did everything we could to save it, but we finally had to concede & they removed it a week ago today. @amm1308 He's had an E collar (cone) on since Valentine's Day, but they remove the sutures in 6 days, so he's almost free! It hasn't slowed him down a bit though, LOL. Dogs are so resilient, much more so than us, don't you think? Anyway, sorry for my novel, I got caught up in telling his story. 😉😊 How old is your baby now?

@chestersmom thank you for sharing their story and im so deeply sorry for what happened to one of your babies. I hope and pray that everything will get better soon.. Having you mentioned about having a brachycephalic furbaby is one of my fears too.. though Boohboo is alone and no other dog/pet to get into a 'fight', the mere fact that these babies are sometimes uncontrollable makes me a heck of a nervous wreck!😫😖😫😖

@chestersmom being a furmom I do understand where you're coming from.. resiliency wise, i cant agree no more!🤩 Mine turned 2 last November 27. We just had our annual check with the vet last week and everything looks great! How many do you have btw if you dont mind me asking? Thank you again for sharing and I appreciate you being a rescue Pekemom.😊😘
