The turnlock works perfectly. No odors that are noticeable to me (and I have a sensitive nose!). My home is smoke-free. Hardware was cleaned with Wizard's and polished with a jewelry cloth, interior was thoroughly vacuumed, and exterior was cleaned with Lexol 1, conditioned with Bick 4. I love this bag, but I’ve moved to a smaller home and need to downsize my collection. I’d like to pass her along to someone who will actually get some use out of this lovely bag.
