Coach Vintage - Sumpter Briefcase 5268 (Messenger Bag) in Black with Brass Hardware, made in United States in 1992-1993 period. Part of the Sheridan Collection of pebbled leather bags and briefs, featured prominently in 1992 Coach catalogs. This briefcase features the classic Coach silhouette with a slim design and turnlock closure, composed of more rugged pebbled leather. There is a full length outer pocket under the flap in front, and one zipper pocket in the inside. Inside is lined. This bag is in pre-owned vintage condition (Fair) with some signs of wear - see last 5 photos. Some cracking exists on outer flap edges. Inner lining is torn at bottom and at zipper pull. Leather has a stiffer feel by design, more like bags from Dooney and Bourke - almost plasticky texture, but more rugged.
