andie1955 Cute shoes!! It’s Andie. Sorry it took me so long to reply to your question about the fake David Yurman ring! I have owned and sold quite a lot of authentic designer jewelry over many years. I also make jewelry. There are SO many signs that MOST of what you see on here is not authentic David Yurman. One of the first signs, is when you see a closet FULL of various DY pieces, all of which come in those cheap tan pouches...ct.

andie1955 He explained to me in detail, how he made each piece by hand. Of course that was back in 1989! Anyway, on the specific ring you asked about, there are several things that you can see that clearly show it is not authentic. Look at the Hallmark on the inside of the band. It’s an “ink-stamped” mess, especially the D. It’s a black blob. You would NEVER see this on an authentic...

andie1955 ...Each prong is the same, holds a genuine semiprecious stone, not a colored, poorly cut CZ. There are never prongs hanging loose. Diamond borders are not real diamonds, but rather CZ’s or very poor quality, glued and unevenly set, substandard diamonds. The band is twisted sterling cable, comes together at the very center, back of band. This fake is made of a cast and oxidized to “look” authentic. You can ALWAYS tell by that Hallmark. Look closely. If it isn’t clear, crisp, even? Pass!!!💕
