These slate tiles were exported to New Orleans following two tragic fires which destroyed much of the French Quarter in the late 1700's. Following this tragedy, all roofs were built with slate tiles. This tile is 100 to 200 years old. It comes with a lithograph photo and history and measure 6 inches by 7 .5 inches. Very unique art history to add to your collection.
