A real treasure. Scarce Hardcover volume "Coins in China's History" book, signed and dedicated by Arthur Braddan Coole, M.A., M.S. Printed by Inter-Collegiate Press, Inc., Mission, Kansas. Fourth Edition 1965. Coole began collecting Chinese coins of the 20th Century, placing them in their proper historical setting was very difficult. He made an alphabetical list of all his coins plus those of another collector; then after extensive research of three Chinese works and a Japanese book, he added coins with dates. This comprehensive volume not only references Chinese coins but the dynasties from which they came. The photographs are the actual coin size; maps show locations of coins in China's history; a color Historical Chart helps place coins in their proper background. Laid in is a Summary Chart of Chinese History. The book may show signs of wear but overall is in good vintage pre-owned condition. I found one similar book for sale on the net, not signed for $350.
