Collectors Vintage Gold-Tone 17mm Jules Jurgensen Ladies Quartz Wristwatch, Exqu

While Jules Jürgensen no longer makes its famously elegant and high-quality timepieces, the history of its watch making remains among the best made over a period of centuries. Originally established in 1740 by Jürgensen in Denmark, a grandson eventually moved the company to Switzerland to train and compete among the echelon of his peers. This classic ladies’ wristwatch exudes opulence in a tiny package, requiring no additional arm flare. Believed to be made in the 1990s, this JJ has a (stamped) base metal bezel and stainless-steel case, and its band is likely gold-plated. Its case width is 17mm and the length of the watch (band + case) is 7.5". The face, crystal and case are in lovely aesthetic condition, although this piece currently is not running and needs testing; the band also shows some light signs of wear vs its shinier days 30 years ago. Nevertheless, this hard-to-find petite wristwatch still packs an enormous amount of glamour and will be a true jewel for avid collectors of scarce Swiss timepieces.
