For the Xmas Campaign 2011 "Love is Tender" of Comme des Garçons, alienina realized a special capsule collection exclusively for the Japanese brand. An avant-garde collection of 6 nautical rope necklaces knotted according to ancient craft techniques, that the designer reinterprets using her creativity and her manual ability. Every piece is unique and hand-made in Italy, using recycled ropes. CDG has teamed up with Eliana Venier to produce necklaces which pay homage to our theme, “from mother with love”. Well known for making handmade, “one of a kind” contemporary jewellery, she aims to inspire people to discover that all objects can have extra life and a new function by re-using ordinary objects and materials. For "Love is Tender", she has created knitted, chain effect necklaces in bright, contrasting colours.
