Continental Turiet & Bardach Evans Jewels Filigree Powder Compact Vintage Vanity

Truly Unique Vintage Compact Designed by Turiet & Bardach, formerly of Vienna, Austria. The lid has a three dimensional arrangement of fine brass filigree, with a raised brass ring decorated with multi-colored crystal jewels, tiny faux pearls, and enamelled flowers and leaves. The brass circumference of the sides of the compact have etched striping. There is a recessed button to open the hinged lid to the slightly damaged mirror with silver loss at intervals around the edges. The sifter is very high quality with a thin but solid brass edge shaping the screen. The compact well is shiny gold, with a cross-hatched etched design. It has no powder residue, and appears never used. There is an enclosed paper label beneath the fitted sifter with the designer information printed on it. The puff is fluffy and new, with the older style Evans ensignia, indicating this is a 1930s-40s Evans piece. Unlike any other Evans I've yet seen! It is nicely weighted and well made.
