How many people have ever attempted this craft of making dolls from corn husks? I tried it when I was much younger ... and there's a real skill to this! Whoever the artist here, really took her doll-making to a new level! This pioneer lady is obviously shown washing clothes on a wooden scrub board with a little wicker basket. It strikes me as a piece made in the 1980s. I love the "motion" in this. Her dress is full, and the clothing she's washing is rippled as tho it's genuinely moving. Her dress shows the design of her apron and her bonnet structure is even right for that time. Finishing her look off: look at those banana curls in her hair! She's pretty fancy for a working gal! This fine figure measure 6 3/4" tall. From front to back, 5 1/2" inches, left to right it is about 4+ inches. This piece has been beautifully preserved. This appears to be stiffened and varnished. It worked great! If you know the maker of this doll with such a unique style, please let me know. Features: • colonial style Size: 6 3/4" tall Condition: Pre-Owned Like New No breaks or tears
