I recently bought bareMinerals from a posher and it turned out to be counterfeit. Please read the article posted by the posher tagged in the first comment and make sure you protect yourself from being scammed. The last two pictures are from my own fake bareMinerals foundation that I purchased. I should have done my research before hand! The last picture is an actual bM representative (who confirmed the counterfeit) modeling the two foundations to show the differences.

laurawditto @kgally this posher is the one who posted the article that let me know I had a fake bM product. Please visit her closet and read the listing she posted. Not only did I notice that my container didn't have an embedded code (as you will read about in her post) but I also noticed two more differences of which I pointed out in the above pictures. Sometimes prices are too good to be true 😢 learned it the hard way.

kgally I didn't have enough room for all the photos I wanted to post but another thing to note is that the ink on the paper directions slip on the inside of the lid is lighter in the counterfeit foundation than the REAL foundation. I believe this is because it is photocopied. A lot of times it is also not perfectly cut.

laurawditto @kgally I read what you said about the chemicals being questionable in the fake product... I was thinking the same thing. No telling WHAT I put on my face when I used it! As soon as PM lets me know what they can do for me I'm throwing it in the trash!!! But it will never touch my face again 😖

lizallen0902 @kgally wow I just looked at my BM , and it did come from ( her ) ......I could not figure out why it did not look right , the actual product did not look the same on my skin. But I just checked it and ther is no code on the back , and all my other ( authentic ) BM has the numbers on back , and not the one I purchased from (good shiz ) ..... Not I'm upset but there is nothing to do , I can't do anything now 👎🏼👎🏼

kgally What she's doing is illegal and hazardous! The things they've found in counterfeit makeup are disgusting and dangerous. And she has been selling fakes for a long time now, it looks like. Preying on innocent people, pretending that it's the real bareMinerals foundation and mineral veil and that it's "great stuff." Not just that, but she has sold counterfeit mascara and lipstick as well. It makes me sick 😰😷😵

laurawditto @kgally how long have people been reporting her to poshmark? Do you know? I'm concerned about why they haven't shut her down. People have been booted off PM for far lesser offenses!!

kgally I don't know exactly. But you can tell from her 'items sold' page that this has been going on for a very long time. When someone confronts her she tends to play it down and just say "I'm happy to return it, just get with customer service." And then if she sees the person as a threat they are instantly blocked. I just wrote an email to posh and I'm waiting to hear back.

laurawditto @kgally I'm surprised she hasn't screen shot my stuff and posted mean things about it the way she has others. She wonders why we are so "obsessed" with her.... It is because she is selling potentially harmful makeup to innocent people. Some people (ME) use bareMinerals for health reasons. My skin is so sensitive and it scares me to think I put something on my skin and I don't even know WHAT was in it. There is a reason for the FDA laws! That is why I am so "obsessed" with her (in her words) 😅

kgally ⬆️ LOL I also laughed when she said I was obsessed with her. She is selling counterfeit makeup to hundreds of people! Someone needs to stand up and be "obsessed" with what she is doing. Tricking people into thinking they are getting a great deal on real bM..when it's completely fake. She is pure evil.

kgally As a woman who has been using bM since before it was even available in department stores like Macy's, I am very offended that someone would make a business of selling fake makeup and passing it off as real. I use bM for the same reasons you do. I am very acne-prone and I have used it during both of my pregnancies. I use it because it's safe. What she's doing is so wrong and so illegal. Women everywhere should be angry and disgusted by this.

kgally I was wondering!! I saw a bunch of Victoria's Secret stuff she was selling and I'd bet everything that it's all knockoffs. She also sells fake Mac lipsticks and some other counterfeit mascaras AND too faced chocolate bars. They're supposed to smell like chocolate but most purchasers got them then questioned her because they didn't at all smell like chocolate or look like the real thing. I wonder if she sells anything that's not counterfeit?? Doubt it!

kgally I don't think they will! People have been reporting her forever. Several people have said posh reimbursed them but did nothing about her. But I'm really glad you got your money back 😀 keep reporting her I guess

laurawditto @mslaughs yes I actually purchased a bM foundation from her and didn't realize it was fake until after the return period. But after I took lots of photos and sent my information to poshmark they reimbursed me, so it worked out. Unfortunately I broke out pretty bad from using it for a few days... It's so sad that she still argues that they are authentic when multiple people have reported her counterfeit products! Sorry you had a bad experience!

kristithompson @laurawditto so I contacted posh support today and reported the counterfeit product the goodshizz girl tried to sell to me and I will not be releasing funds to her. And now she has blocked me and is apparently mad cause she can comment on my stuff cause I don't have anything for her to comment on. Anyhow just thought I'd let you know you helped so much thank you so much for saving my skin! Literally!

She claims that bM changes their packaging so often that we can't make our assumptions based off that... However the powder itself is atrocious!! She has no defense for that. I wonder if she actually believes the lies she's telling people. Thanks for sharing your news with me! :)

uhohitssarah got my "BM" from her a few days ago, and it was indeed fake. i compared it to my real BM of the same color and the colors were different, and the fake stuff from her rinsed right off in water while mine had to be scrubbed off. the containers were also slightly different. i filed a claim with posh and won, but the whole thing was a hassle. not sure why her account hasn't been banned, but i reported her too.

laurawditto @uhohitssarah I'm sorry it was a hassle.... I honestly can't believe they let her stay on. I'm starting to wonder if poshmark is more interested in making money than doing the right thing 😔 I've seen girls get banned for breaking a simple rule, but she stays on here after COUNTLESS reports and refunds. Again I am sorry you had to deal with that... I know that is so frustrating.
