The artists family members are always on the lookout for unique gems and stones for her to transform into beautiful jewelry. This particular stone was found by the artists brother on the family farm. Though we are not sure of what type of stone it is, it appears to be some sort of agate, jasper or vogasite. Please note however, that we do not know for sure what type of stone it is. The vintage die used was handmade in the early 1900’s. It was purchased from Potter USA in Tucson, AZ. It is the mission of the owner, Kevin Potter, to preserve these beautiful dies that are steeped in rich history. Thus, saving them from the scrap yard. The artist, Linda Gregory lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. What started as a creative outlet from her 30 year career as a registered nurse in cardiology, quickly evolved into creating beautiful pieces of art.
