vtgimage @denilleg exactly, they were like the JCrew of Australia. I had visited many times and my brother had married an Australian. My grandparents retired there to be with my aunt ( American) my uncle ( Australian ) and my cousins. My 1st stay was in 1978. I did go back almost every couple of years. When I turned 18, I went to try and live there. I met someone. I was there for 3 and a half years , until he broke my ♥️

vtgimage @denilleg I worked for my uncle who had 3 shops. One on Toorak Rd, South Yarra he was selling Frye boots and Hot Sox back in the 70s( he closed the shop but kept the bldg. Than Malvern , R.M. Williams , and Chapel ST selling R.M Williams and Birkenstocks he also had bldg there as well as his offices were upstairs. Last time I was there was in 2006. Since than my aunt and uncle sold all the biz live in Port Melbourne . I was also sad that I never got to live there. I loved it sooo much
