Creed Sterling Silver Religious Necklace - Madonna & Child Pendant w/24" Chain

Dating to the 1960s or so, may I offer this Sterling Silver (hallmarked as pictured) religious necklace by Creed. Holding a VERY heavy pendant of the Virgin and Child - Madonna & Child - Mother Mary and Infant Jesus, the setting is a 24" curb chain which holds no clasp; it simply goes over the head for anyone to wear. Weight of the entire piece is 32.3 grams - yes, over 1 ounce of silver in this piece. Good strike to the pendant - features are visible and to be honest, the mellow patina to the image is just perfect. Absolutely lovely with no engraving to the reverse - a light wash and its ready to be presented to its new owner. Original retail must have been astronomical!
