MEASUREMENT: 12-1/2" Round Platter Earthenware, Terre de Fer, transferware, covered in a white enamel using a tin glaze method, produced in France since the 16th century. Creil & Montereau & Co. This faiencerie traces back to a founding in 1797. Made in Northern France somewhere between 1850 and 1876. Can be found on Replacements Ltd. CONDITION: Rough condition on many of the 150 year old plus plates. There are chips, cracks and discolorations on these one-of-a-kind antique items which are unique in both their character and weathering which represents their historical significance.
