Crescent Moon & Star Celestial Victorian Locket

Beautiful antique crescent moon and star locket. With nine glass rhinestones encrusted in the moon crescent, and one more is added in a star inlay. The locket dates from 1900-1910. It is a beautiful yellow gold filled locket. There are no markings. This beautiful locket oozes history and is a timeless piece of jewelry. The chain and link are not original to the locket and measures 18”. The inside of the locket contains both sides with original frames and covers. It has some patina and normal surface discoloring on the interior but otherwise very good antique condition. The closure has a firm snap and is secure. It approximately measures a little over 1" x 1 1/4" and is in very good antique condition with no dents, only age surface wear and scratches. 🌙⭐️ FYI, moon and stars symbol were typically found on jewelry during the Victorian era. Crescent moons celebrate the feminine moon goddess and is associated with female empowerment. Stars represented direction and guidance, like the North Star would help us to find our path in a dark night.
