Cries of London vintage ceramic tankard, Waterton Lakes Canada

Vintage fine ceramic souvenir tankard from the late 1950s-early 1960s features images on both sides from the classic "Cries of London" series showing romanticised 17th century English street vendors hawking their wares. Black and gold accents. One side shows a lovely barefoot peasant woman with a basket and below it a maple leaf and a banner decal with the words "Waterton Lakes, Canada." The other side shows a gentleman and a woman selling cherries, with the legend "Cries of London - Fine Black Cherries." Maker: John Shaw & Sons, England Maker's mark: Burlington (in large stylized script) WARE J. SHAW & SONS LTD. ENGLAND Vintage: 1959-1963, (source: www.thepotteries.org/allpotters/903.htm) Condition: Very good, vintage condition, no cracks or chips, some crazing in the glaze and very slight flaking of black paint on base and decal 4.5" tall, base diameter 3.5", width including handle, 4.5" Vintage and antique items may have imperfections in accordance with use and age, and I do my best to mention anything I am aware of and show it in photos.
