Agounit is a town in the Río de Oro, Western Sahara. The word cross refers to direction as in the points of a compass. They are not religious in any way. The Tuareg people are a group that inhabits large swathes of North and West Africa, ethnically considered to be Berber in origin. Tuareg people live in one of the most inhospitable areas of the planet, the Sahara desert, where a primary concern is to protect and defend themselves from hostile supernatural forces that influence the surrounding environment.
