Custom elven renaissance princess dress (upcycled from a vintage April Cornell)

Calling all fairy maidens, medieval queens, elves, witches, and princesses— this dress is for you! I made this dress from a vintage April Cornell dress I had in the back of my closet for a fantasy photo shoot and now I want to see her go to a home where someone will enjoy her even more! A few details: this dress has two ties that make the waist size pretty adjustable. The blue lace appliqué is affixed with some stitches courtesy of yours truly. With that said, hand washing is probably all this dress can handle. The light blue fabric attached is a super floaty scarf. It’s attached to the sleeves and the back of the dress and the draping effect is fabulous. However, probably not functional for a day filled with moving heavy boxes. Perfect for renaissance faires, fairy photo shoots, and playing dress up at home with your friends. Despite how delicate and lovely this magical dress looks when you put it on, it’s also VERY comfortable. No pockets though, cause nothing is perfect. Measurements (lay flat) Bust: 18 inches Waist: 17 inches Don’t forget, the ties on the side make this dress very adjustable for different sizes. I’m a size two and you can see in the photos how well it fits me—but it will look just as good (if not better!) on a different body.
