This was made to fit my body and may not budge to fit a larger size. It's made with Donna Karen silk, nude lining, and ivory lace and crystal appliqué. The lace outlines the low back, low cut front, and sides of the dress. Back zipper closure for a perfect hug. Mermaid style. The dress also has cups for the breasts. My measurements are 32D, 23-24 waist, and 34-36 hips.

I just wanted to confirm that the dress is made of 100% silk-if yes, is it more of the charmeuse type - or is it a heavier silk (I didn't look like shantung, taffeta, etc but figured I would confirm)?

In think he will like the dress - If I decide to go ahead and purchase, would it be possible for me to pay try it on (and pay for the cost of shipping/a deposit)?

@rfiduccia hi! If you want to purchase through posh, then yes the price is firm because of the fees. If you want to purchase outside of posh, I can sell it for 15% less than the price purchased with 25% as a down payment for you to try on. Of course if it doesn’t fit, you can return for a full refund on the 25%.
