melrucan Melissa’s Custom Boutique Thank you for your purchase!!!! I love sewing and creating fun, new clothing items. Some important business-y information... - I have a 4-6 week turnaround. I realize this may be a bit of a wait, but I am only one person doing ALL cutting, sewing, and pattern making, so it does take a good amount of time (and labor, and love) for each handmade item.

melrucan I do not mind if you’d like to buy your fabric and send it to me, so I do have adjusted prices to compensate for the customer buying the fabric. However, I will not do any custom creations until the item itself is paid for up front. I have to do this to protect myself-I’ve had several people order things and ask for them to be shipped and not pay.

melrucan So please- don’t ask me to make your custom creations unless you are prepared to pay for it. It makes me feel bad to tell people no, but I do have a long backlog of orders, and people that have paid get precedence. This is my income.

melrucan I also do not buy fabric unless I have payment up front for it. I’ve also had people order fabric from me and then cancel and change their mind, and I’m left with several yards (and a decent amount of my money spent) of fabric and nobody who wants it. So, if you want to order fabric, I’m happy to do that, so long as you pay me for it first!

melrucan I do not do refunds or returns unless the fabric is flawed or I have made the item incorrectly. Please double check your measurements to make sure they are correct- I make custom creations according to the measurements you give me, so if they are incorrect on your part, I do not accept returns or give refunds. It is a lot of labor on my part to create! I will always double check measurements before I mail items.
