Cute boots, never worn

Size 8. Bought because there was a BOGO sale going on in Akira. I thought it was very fashionable and cute. Never thought about if I ever go anywhere to wear it. (I hardly go anywhere). In my hayday, I would have a chance to go out with friends. These days, all I do is work. But admittedly, I have a boot fettish. And I can't resist sales. I bought 4 pairs that day, and this is one of them. I bought this about 3 or 4 years ago. It's been in the closet since. I just tried to wear it last week, thinking I'd find a date to go out and show them off. I couldn't even step 3 steps before my feet and ankles told me a screaming "NO!". I have not worn heels in years and was in denial. I am so sad and too much in denial that I'm just old now and cannot wear any heels at all anymore. You have no idea how deflated I feel.
