I thought that was just the color when I purchased it, like an iridescent finish, because it creates a kind of teal shade in a rectangle on the front of the bag, you can see it in the close up of the metal logo. So it is there, but I thought it was intended until I went to take these photos. There are also a couple of grey marks near the strap, see the last photo.
