Our last: We took the 55 shoe last used in the PNW boot industry for decades and made it better! With boots on the ground and listening to our customers for years, we knew there was a better way. The natural progression of people have been getting bigger and wider feet - we added about an 1/8" to the outside of the last to allow more room in the toe box and eliminate that "pinkie rub." We also raised the instep slightly to allow an easier foot entry into the boot. With the fit alterations to the last and the pre-molded insole, these boots will be the best and easiest break-in of the industry. Guts of the boot: We are using a veg tanned leather toe box (no plastic or celastic), leather heel counter, shank and heel base. Details: One piece backstay / pull loop, scored midsole to place shank and nails precisely on each pair of boots, we use a high-pressure hydraulic press plus a press pad which is the exact negative of the Vibram 100 outsole to get an extreme bond to reduce squeaking and delamination. • These are not true to size.
