Special limited edition bowl - serial #0835. Vintage 1977 This beautiful limited edition collector bowl features the artwork, George Washington at Prayer (on Christmas) – Valley Forge, by J. C. Leyendecker. The bowl was produced by the Danbury Mint to commemorate the United States Bicentennial. The large ivory porcelain bowl has the full-color artwork of Washington on bended knee at prayer on one side of the bowl. 22kt gold trims the inner rim of the bowl. It is a large bowl measuring 4 3/4” (12.1 cm) tall; 8” (20.3 cm) across the top; and, 4” (10.2 cm) across the base. On the underside of the bowl it reads: Danbury Mint George Washington at Prayer – Valley Forge This bowl is part of a special limited edition issued in 1977 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of George Washington’s heroic leadership at Valley Forge in 1777.
