bhwardrobe @summershah Hello! The date code (SD####) has to match the heat stamp (Louis Vuitton Paris Made in U.S.A.) or cloth tag (for Neverfulls produced this year). It does not have anything to do with where the product was purchased. Hope that helps :)

bhwardrobe The first listing shows how to read date codes. Since the handbag is made after 2007, the 1st & 3rd digit is the week and 2nd & 4th digit is the year. Because it's a monogram, SD corresponds to Made in USA for the heat stamp.

It's an older bag and on one inside handle flap it has SA and on another flap on the same side it has the letters 052. Is this a common thing in vintage bags? To have the code on 2 seperate tabs? bhwardrobe @acarlos922 052 does not make sense for vintage. Practically, it's interpreted as made in Feb 2005. I would definitely not buy. I've seen them on the same tab and especially when the letters and numbers are not on the same line.

I deleted my listing of my mini multicolored speedy. It was a gift given to me roughly 10 years ago. It came with a box, dustbag, a gift card that me ex-boyfriend at the time should have written in as well as the pretty purple ribbon on the outside of the box. He purchased it in Chicago. bhwardrobe @jessicapacz There are older Speedys that are made with fabric material in the inner pocket. Besides the heat stamp and date code, the main areas to check for authenticity is the size underneath the leather tab with the heat stamp on it, the amount of stitching at the base of the handles, stitching exterior to the inner flap, and the LV logo on the base of the zipper pull.

lmmercurio Can you please help me?! i bought a Zippy wallet from Poshmark. It looks real but the date stamp does not match country of origin. Date stamp reads CA0049, indicating made in Spain, but it is marked made in France But the letters appear to match how authentic bags are (round Os, small tail on L, Ts almost touching) What do you think? Sorry for the bother
