David Varsano 79g Chunky Sterling Electroform Bangle Bracelet Sixties Mod

This phenomonally thick electroform bracelet in 79 grams of sterling silver will complement your boldest Sixties Mod outfits and moods. The bulbous, off-center, slightly oval shape ranges from 25mm to 42 mm in height and about 7mm to 15mm in thickness. Though heavy, the bangle is not solid silver. It was made by the electroform process in which a mold (in resin, wax or other material) is coated with metal in an electrified bath. The model typically melted out afterwards though a small hole, such as in photo 6, though some of it may remain. Signed "D" in a square with "925" indicates that it was made by by Israeli craftsman David Varsano. Interior circumference is 7-7/8". The external circumference at center is 10". Weighs 79 grams. The bangle has seen a lot of use. There are numerous scratches on its surface, many of them on the shiny varnish coating. Some scratches and pits go through to the metal, as shown in the photos. As a handcrafted object, the bangle presumably never was perfectly round. However, I do not observe any deformations to the shape, noticeable gouges, or fatal flaws. As a vintage item, this bangle is being sold "as is." Because of its weight, you may want to wear this one on your forearm rather than dangling at the wrist.
