Delft tile, handmade 60s vintage, REPAIRED, bird#4

Vintage original handpainted polychrome Delft tile with a bird surrounded by branches and berries. Of the six tiles listed at the same time, only this one has any damage -- as shown in the photos, it has old glue lines repairing breaks (repairing it rather well, leaving only thin lines on the front). Usual size, slightly less than 5.25” square. Unused, purchased by my parents at the source about 1965 when they lived in Holland. The background is not bright white but instead a very light, shaded aqua blue pigmented glaze as shown in the photo. Apparently made at Royal Tichelaar Makkum, the oldest ceramics company in The Netherlands, according to the corner decorations and similar examples. There are six from this collection being listed (one is damaged), so if buyer wants to purchase more than one they should first make a “bundle” of their choices to save on PM’s shipping charges.
